The Physical Therapy Department enhances the quality of life for patients by improving physical movement and function. Staffed by licensed therapists and technicians, the Department treats patients with various acute and chronic disabling conditions, including amputations, arthritis, wounds and burns, post-operative pain and joint replacement.

CCH’s Physical Therapy Department represents one of the most innovative and advanced units in the area. Skilled therapists treat orthopaedic conditions and disorders, post-surgical and post-fracture rehabilitation as well as neurological conditions and disorders using state-of-the-art facilities and techniques such as hydrotherapy tanks, moist heat, paraffin baths, cold packs, massage, muscle stimulation and a wide selection of assistive and adaptive equipment.

The Department also maintains a Sports Medicine Program which specializes in returning the injured athlete to maximum potential, both safely and quickly. Through personalized evaluations and individualized treatment programs, the Physical Therapy Department focuses on patient needs and functional goals to ensure the best rehabilitation possible.
