The purpose of the Board of Trustees is to operate and improve hospital and associated facilities and programs, including educational programs, to promote the continuum of life.

There are bylaws and rules for the Medical Staff setting forth its purpose, functions and organization. Such bylaws and rules for the Medical Staff are adopted by the Board of Trustees.

The Medical Staff and other health care professionals providing patient care services are accountable to the Board for conducting activities that contribute to the preservation and improvement of the quality and efficiency of patient care provided in the hospital and clinics associated with the hospital.
