Welcome to Columbus Community Hospital

Columbus Community Hospital is a 40-bed, acute care medical and surgical facility recognized throughout the community as a comprehensive health care organization. As a rural hospital, Columbus offers its patients the best that advanced technology has to offer combined with the warm personalized care of a hometown facility.

Our patients can expect your health matters continuity of care administered in a caring and friendly environment by dedicated professionals wholly committed to serving them. As one of largest employers in Columbus, CCH maintains a significant contribution to the economic health of the surrounding area. CCHs not-for-profit community ownership ensures that resources are committed to improving quality of care in conjunction with meeting the health care needs of Columbus and the surrounding area.

Every member of the Columbus Community Hospital staff is committed to a common goal: effectively meeting the needs of patients and their families. Through an emphasis on innovative service and top quality care, Columbus Community Hospital is positioned to meet the health care challenges now and in the future.

Our Mission

It is our goal to provide accessible, quality, cost-effective health care to our community.

We are resolved to foster a safe and positive environment of encouragement, growth, challenge and continuous improvement.

Vision Statement

  • To foster a wellness state for our community through education, support and cooperation with other health care organizations.
  • To empower our staff to be part of a cohesive professional dedicated interdisciplinary team.
  • To assess the needs of our community and provide appropriate services for our changing health care environment.
  • To promote collaborative relationships with other providers to facilitate a continuum of care with shared services.
  • To establish and maintain an economically stable facility through community support and funding while meeting our charitable goals.

On February 27, 1950, CCH became a non-profit organization, consisting of twenty-one beds. Since that time we have continued to grow with the needs of the community and today we have 40 beds with 16 active physicians on our Medical Staff as well as physicians providing services in a consulting and courtesy capacity. We are considered an acute care hospital employing over 175 people. The Hospital is directed by the Administrator, James Vanek, CEO, and governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of members of the community who donate their time and energies.
